Obituary for Jerry Brown

Funeral services for Jerry Brown, 65 years old of Belzoni, MS. will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday Dec. 18, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church in Belzoni, MS. He died Sunday Dec. 15, 2013 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the church. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery in Greenville, MS.

Jerry was born Jan. 26, 1948 in Indianola, MS to Clyde & Mary Alice Brown. He grew up in Indianola where he attended school. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. After his discharge from the Army he was an ag pilot for 33 years and also farmed until he retired. Jerry was a former Rotarian and was also involved with the Boy Scouts until his son Jerred obtained his Eagle Scout Badge. Jerry very much loved being with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde & Mary Alice Brown of Indianola, MS.

He is survived by his daughter, Katherine Brown of Belzoni, MS., 2 sons, Brandon Brown & his wife Melanie of Jackson, MS., & Jerred Brown of Belzoni, MS., his former wife & special friend and mother of Katherine & Jerred, Evelyn Brown of Belzoni, MS., 2 grandchildren, Heath Brown & Isabella Brown of Jackson, MS.

Rev. Richard Wiman will officiate the services.
