Funeral services for Minnie Bell Dycus, 76 years old of McGehee Arkansas and formerly of Greenville, MS will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday Jan. 11, 2014 at Smith Funeral Home. She died Monday Jan. 6, 2014 in McGehee, Ar. Visitation will be 9:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday Jan. 11, 2014 at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Leland Stoneville Cemetery.


Mrs. Dycus was born Jan. 9, 1937 in Ruleville, MS to John & Effie Whatley. She grew up in Ruleville where she attended school. She was a long time resident of Greenville before moving to McGehee, Ar. 8 years ago. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Effie Whatley, her husband, Dean Farris, her second husband, Tommy Dycus, 3 daughters, Katy Jo Farris, Carolyn Johnston & Debbie Johnson, 2 sons, Wayne Whatley Farris & Dean Steve Farris, 3 sisters & 2 brothers.


She is survived by 2 daughters, Pat Jones & her husband Stan of Wayside, MS. & Barbara Morgan & her husband James of Arkansas City, Ar., 2 sons, Billy Farris of Dumas, Ar. & Thomas “Bud” Farris of Jackson, MS., 13 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren.


Rev. Robert Barnes will officiate the services.
