Funeral services for Diane Jacobs, 69 years old of Greenville will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday Feb. 25, 2014 at Smith Funeral Home. She died Sunday Feb. 23, 2014 at her home. Visitation will be Monday Feb. 24, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery.

Mrs. Jacobs was born July 4, 1944 in Mobile, AL., to John & Betty Ponder. She moved to Glen Allan at an early age with her family where she grew up and attended school and graduated from Glen Allan High School. She married Brown Jacobs April 6, 1953. She is a former employee of CIT Financial Corp., Ford Motor Credit Corp. & First National Bank where she worked for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Betty Ponder, her daughter, Tammy Lynn Walker, sister, Wilma Ponder, 4 brothers, Johnny “Sonny” Ponder, Tommy Joe Ponder, Kenny Ponder & Billy Ponder.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Brown Jacobs of Greenville, MS., her son and daughter in law, Zane & Tina Jacobs of Greenville, MS., her sister in law, Betty Ponder of Glen Allan, MS., her brother, Delane Ponder (Lucille) of Fulton, MS., 3 sisters, Helen Bryant of Memphis, TN., Jean Wright (BO) of Oakland, CA. & Dorothy Cresson (Bob) of Slidell, LA., 4 grandchildren, Ashley Walker, Amy Walker, Brooke Jacobs & Hunter Jacobs.

Rev. James Dykes will officiate the services.
