Funeral services for Dorothy Jones, 83 years old of Greenville will be 10:00 A.M. Monday March 24, 2014 at New Life Church Of God. She died Thursday March 20, 2014 at Delta Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Sunday at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery.

Mrs. Jones was born July 21, 1930 in Slaughter, MS to Charles & Mary Harbin. She moved to Greenwood, Ms at an early age with her family where she grew up and attended school. She has been a resident of Greenville since 1948 where she was employed with the Greenville Police Dept. As a dispatcher and a school crossing guard until she retired. She was a member of New Life Church Of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Mary Harbin, her husband, Travis Jones Sr., 2 sons, Billy Wayne Jones & Allen Jones Sr., 3 brothers & 3 sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Chamblee (Ricky) of Greenville, MS., 4 sons, Jimmy Jones, Travis Jones Jr., Johnny Jones & Sterling Jones (Lena) all of Greenville, MS., 12 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Braydon, Johnny, Ricky Jr., Stacy, April, Susan, Tony, Allen JR., Tara, Jennifer & Keri & 14 great grandchildren & 1 great great granchild., a special frienf Teresa Ford of Greenville, MS. And a host of other friends.
