The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Hugh Putnam can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Reed Givens
Condolence: Hugh and I met as pre-schoolers while attending First Baptist Church. I lives mingled together various times over the years. Most recently after he moved to Foley and I was living in Fairhope. We so much enjoyed reminiscing at my workshop when he would come to Fairhope. Miss you Hugh.

Spent many times and nights at their house in high school. I saw him at our Class Reunion and had a great time visiting and catching up.
My deepest sympathies to the family and prayers for your comfort and peace. Hugh was a fine man, good friend and will be missed.

Condolence From: Kent Fletcher
Condolence: Hugh and I were not in the same class at CHS in Cleveland, MS, but his sister, Mary Ann and I were. I called Hugh when she passed and we talked for a few minutes. He was the same as I remembered him from so long before, a kind man, a gentle man, and a loving man, who at the moment was as confused about his loss as were we all. Heaven is brighter today now that he is out of pain and is whole again. My sincerest condolences to all his family. May God grant you peace, faith, hope, and love in the days following. May God rest Hugh's soul forever, and ever. Amen
