Funeral mass for John Bernardi, 79 years old of Greenville, MS will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday June 26, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He died Sunday June 22, 2014 at Delta Regional Medical Center.. Visitation will be Thursday From 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery.
Mr. Bernardi was born Dec. 25, 1934 in Shaw, MS to Americo & Lena Bernardi. He grew up in Shaw where he attended school and graduated Shaw High School. After graduating high school he went on to attend MS. State University. He was a Grand Knight with the Knights Of Columbus. He served on the Greenville Planning Commission. He worked at Greenville Lumber Company over 40 years in sales & estimating. He was preceded in death by his parents, Americo & Lena Bernardi, his wife Frances Bernardi, brother, Americo Bernardi Jr., 3 sisters, Vallie Reginelli, Louise Bassi & Amelia Loughne.
He is survived by his daughter Lisa Wright (Al) of Greenville, MS., 4 sons, Greg Bernardi (Vista) of Greenville, MS., Johnny Bernardi of Jackson, MS., Frank Bernardi of Oregon & Joe Bernardi of Detroit, MI., sister, Stella Signa (Leonard) of Greenville, MS., 10 grandchildren, Tracy, Travis, Emily, Robert, April, Morgan, Brooke, Gregory, Lacey & Gabe., 5 great grandchildren, Isabella, Marlie, Nathan, Anna & Leland.
Father Bill Henry will officiate the mass
