Funeral services for Daphne Bean, 71 years old of Southaven, MS., and formerly of Greenville, MS., will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 1, 2014 at Smith Funeral Home. She died Saturday June 28, 2014 at her home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Bean was born Jan. 11, 1943 in Greenville to Carlos & Dorothy Bean. She grew up in Greenville where she attended school and graduated Greenville High School. She retired from Ford Motor Credit. She has been a resident of Southaven for 6 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and planting flowers in her yard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos & Dorothy Bean, her sister, Linda Pritchett, 2 brothers, Carlos Bean & R.B. Bean.

She is survived by her daughter & son in law, Daphne Diane & Chris Henderson of Southaven, MS, her son & daughter in law, James Jr.& Lisa Oliver of Tupelo, MS., 2 sisters, Barbara Jean Marcon of Jackson, TN., & Jeanette Henshaw of Huntsville, AL., 3 grandsons, Tanner Henderson, Rodney Henderson & Nicholas Oliver & her only granddaughter, Leigha Oliver
