Funeral services for Leslie W. Wright, 71 years old of Southaven, MS and formerly of Greenville, MS will be 1:00 P.M. Friday Sept. 19, 2014 at Smith Funeral Home. He went to be with the Lord Friday Sept. 12, 2014 at his home. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 P.M. at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Wright was born Sept. 23, 1942 in Greenville, MS to Noel & Luvenia Wright. He was a lifelong resident of Greenville until moving to Southaven, MS in 2010.
He grew up in Greenville where he attended school and graduated Greenville High School. He was employed at Greenville Mills for many years until their closing. He then went to work with Moeller Manufacturing where he worked until he retired. He served in the National Guard and his interests included coaching baseball and spending time with his family. He was a former member of Faith Baptist Church in Greenville and was presently a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Walls, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noel & Luvenia Wright and 2 brothers, Orville Wright & Ralph Wright all of Greenville, MS.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Berry Wright of Southaven, MS., his son, Les Wright of Southaven, MS., his grandchildren, Kaylee Wright & Garrett Wright of Southaven, MS., sister in law, Helen Wright of Saltillo, MS., niece, Karen Hollis (Doug) of Saltillo, MS., & nephew, David Wright (Tammy) of Greenville, MS.
