Funeral services for Vera Williams, 77 years old of Leland, MS. will be 11:00 A.M. Friday Dec. 19, 2014 at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church. She died Tuesday Dec. 16, 2014 in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Thursday Dec. 16, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery.

Mrs. Williams was born Sept. 25, 1937 in Bolivar County to Edward & Henrietta Jacobs. She moved to Greenville at an early age where she grew up and attended school. She married Lonnie Williams in 1955. She was a member of Pentecostal Lighthouse Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Henrietta Jacobs, 2 daughters, Viola Kay Williams & Leola Faye Williams, sister, Arthusa Shaw, 2 brothers, Hershel Jacobs & John L. Jacobs

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Lonnie Williams of Leland, MS, 3 sons, Lonnie L. Williams & his wife Patricia of Leland, MS., Hank Williams & his wife Debbie of Greenville, MS. & Ted Williams of Leland, MS., 3 brothers, J.D. Jacobs & his wife Virginia of Tupelo, MS., Brown Jacobs of Greenville, MS. & James Jacobs of Houston, TX., 3 sisters, Sue Tanksley of Leland, MS., Maggie Williams of Greenville, MS., & Charlene Goodwin of Gonzales, LA., 6 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren.
