Memorial services for Jerry Paul Davidson, 58 years old of Pea Ridge, Arkansas and formerly of Greenville, MS will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday Feb. 10, 2014 at Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until service time at Smith Funeral Home. He died Jan. 27, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy illness.
Jerry was born Feb. 18, 1955 in Leland, MS to Ottis & Rose Davidson. He was a life long resident of Greenville where he grew up and attended school and graduated Greenville High School in 1773. He was a long time employee with the U.S. Gypsum Co. until moving to northwest Arkansas in 1998 where he was employed with Evans Electric Co.
Jerry will be remembered as a devoted father who spent time coaching his children’s softball teams; as a loving grandfather, teaching his grandchildren to shoot BB guns. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved bulldog, Maggie, and riding horses and his motorcycle. He was preceded in death by his father, Ottis Odell Davidson of Greenville, MS.
He is survived by his mother, Rose Davidson of Greenville, MS., his son, Troy Davidson (Breann) of Pea Ridge, Ar., his daughter, Taffy Davidson Hale (Craig) of Bentonville, Ar., brother, Larry Davidson (Patsy) of Hendersonville, TN., 2 sisters, Joy Oswalt (James) of Greenville, MS. & Clara Coleman of Vicksburg, MS., 6 grandchildren.
