Memorial services for James Moore 74 years old of Greenville will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday June 7, 2014 at Smith Funeral Home. He died Sunday June 1, 2014 in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. -3:00 P.M. Saturday at Smith Funeral Home.
James was born April 4, 1940 in Lambert, MS to Woodrow & Hattie Moore. He has been a life long resident of Greenville where he grew up and attended school. He was a retired river boat engineer. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a licensed airplane pilot. He was a mason & a shriner. He was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow & Hattie Moore and his brother, William “Buster” Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Helen “Doll” Moore of Greenville, MS., 2 sisters, Shirley Davidson (Roy) of Hanson, KY. & Rubye Bryant of Alburquerque, N.M., 2 brothers, John “Puddin” Moore (Martha) of Greenville, MS & Jimmy Moore (Anita) of Hattiesburg, MS & a host of nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Shelter of Greenville, 1330 Hwy 82 West Greenville, MS. 38701
