Memorial services for Deborah “Debbie” Potter, 64 years old of Greenville will be at 4:00 P.M. Sunday Sept. 21, 2014 at Smith Funeral Home. She died Thursday Sept. 18, 2014 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Visitation will be from 3:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Debbie was born May 16, 1950 in Greenwood, MS to Clyde & Maud Watson. She grew up in Itta Bena. She was a resident of Greenville since 1983. She has a bachelor degree of science in nursing. She was a former E.R. nurse at D.R.M.C. She taught nursing at MS. Delta Community College since 1987. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde & Maud Watson, 2 brothers, Charles Watson & Sonny Watson & sister, Joy Peoples. She loved her four legged children

She is survived by her husband Robert Allen Potter of Greenville, MS., daughter, Laura Cox (Ryan) of Clinton, MS. 3 sons, Delbert Williams Jr. of Tupelo, MS., Daniel Williams of Greenville, MS. & Matthew Williams of Tupelo, MS., brother, Bobby Watson of Tunica, MS. 7 grandchildren, Delbert Williams III, Gage Williams, Parker Williams, Presleigh Williams, Watson Williams, James Williams & Colton Cox & a host of students that she considered her children.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center or American Cancer Society.
