Funeral services for David S. Smith, 67 years old of Leland, MS. will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday Oct. 28, 2014 at Smith Funeral Home. He died Sunday Oct. 26, 2014 at his home. Visitation will be Monday Oct. 27, 2014 from 5-7 P.M. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery.
Mr. Smith was born July 14, 1947 in Newport, Arkansas to Claude & Vernie Smith. He grew up in Arkansas where he attended school. He has been a resident of Leland since 2007. He was a sign technician. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude & Vernie Smith, 2 sisters, Patricia Skaggs & Shirley Clark.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Tanksley Smith of Leland, MS., daughter, Connie Jo Wagner (Darren) of Little Rock, Ar., 2 sons, David A. Smith of Tucson, AZ., & Barney Long of Saltillo, MS., brother, Joe Smith (Linda) of Newport, AR., sister, Claudette Huskey of Greenville, MS. & 2 grandchildren.
Rev. Arthur Scott will officiate the services.
