Graveside services for Wanda Barton. 81 years old of Greenville, MS will be 11:00 A.M. Friday Feb. 6, 2015 at Leland-Stoneville Cemetery. She passed away Tuesday Feb. 3, 2015 at Delta Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be Friday Feb 06, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Smith Funeral Home.

Wanda was born August 20, 1933 to Mr. John Aubrey Peal & Jennie Euline Mc Lemore Peal in Memphis, Tn. Wanda grew up in Memphis where she attended school at Bartlett High School, formally known as Nicholas Blackwell. While attending school, she joined the Bartlett High School Band, in which she played the Baritone Horn. Shortly after graduating high school Wanda met and married Mr. Dewey Barton, who was the love of her life and her companion for 63 years. Wanda worked for many years for the Greenville Police Department as a School Crossing Guard. She was an avid reader who loved the company of people that shared her compassion for life and love. She was preceded in death by her parents John & Euline Peal, as well 1 Brother &1 Sister.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dewey Barton of Greenville, MS., 3 Sons, Dewey Keith Barton and his wife Kay of Bartlett TN., Gary Dwayne Barton of La Porte, TX., John Anthony Barton of Atoka, TN.,1 Sister, Bobbie Jean Garrison of Memphis, TN., 1 Brother, Dwayne Peal of Olive Branch, MS., 4 grandchildren, Benjamin Keith Barton, Elaine Camille Barton Dolan, Whitney Leann Barton & Emily Rose Barton . 3 Great Grandchildren, Anna Leigh Barton, Kathryn Dolan, & Eve Dolan.

In Lieu of flowers the family has requested all donations be made to The American Cancer Society.

Bro. Phil Wilkinson will officiate the services.
